TYRE FESTIVAL
Phoenician Tyre was queen of the seas, an island city of unprecedented splendor. The importance of this historical city and its monuments was highlighted in 1979 when UNESCO declared Tyre a world Heritage Site.
Tyre Festival hosts folkloric wedding parties, traditional exhibitions, folkloric dancing and modeling, amusement activities, popular theater, competitions.
In 1996 we have deeply felt how much our people in the south are in need for cultural, traditional, and musical entertainment ; This is when we thought of bringing joy to those people who suffered the most for many years, and have almost forgotten what joy is….Right after this, the initiation of having summer festival in the south had started.
